It might be possible to get to net-zero aviation
Flight EY130 was the first to achieve net zero using a unique combination of direct emissions reductions and World Energy’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel Book & Claim system
Electric and hydrogen planes sounds a good idea, and no entrepreneur should stop to work on this idea. However transformations, especially in aviation only happen if you can get to net-zero with the current fleet of planes.
Planes are very expensive and need to fly non-stop for many years to make them a profitable business. Replacing them will not happen.
But what can happen if you can alter the fuel in such a way that CO2 emissions are diminished greatly. For consumers, airports and carriers nothing has to change.
